Why Carolina Pickleball Club Exists
Carolina Pickleball Club was created during a period when its founder, Nash Patel, was searching for something more physical and meaningful. Pickleball provided that outlet. It offered movement, competition, and connection, and quickly became part of his routine.
Like many players, he ran into the same problem once winter arrived. Cold temperatures and wet courts regularly shut play down. During those off-court conversations, the idea of an indoor facility surfaced. At first, Patel dismissed it. The financial reality was clear: no matter how the numbers were run, it was not a profitable business.
For a long time, that ended the conversation.
Then one morning, Patel reconsidered the question entirely. If the goal was profit, the answer was no. But if the goal was community, consistency, and creating a place people could rely on year-round, the answer changed.
The first location came with real challenges. Mistakes were made, and lessons came quickly. It became clear that building courts is easy; building culture is not. Those early experiences shaped a more intentional approach around programming, communication, skill alignment, and expectations.
Every lesson from the first location informed the next. The second club was designed with structure, clarity, and community at the center. It was not a reset, but an evolution built on experience.
Carolina Pickleball Club was never intended to be a traditional business. It is a passion project rooted in health, connection, and consistency. The story is still being written, but its foundation remains the same: a love for the game and the community it brings together.

I’ve had a great experience at Carolina Pickleball Club, especially during DUPR nights and tournaments hosted by Charlotte Korean Pickleball Club. The club offers plenty of fun gameplay opportunities, and Piper and the staff were very accommodating when it came to organizing our tournaments. I only wish it were closer so I could play more regularly! There are many exciting games to join, and the pricing is very reasonable. Highly recommend!
We love playing here. The play is competitive and so much fun, I love the updates they have made with the new lights and the painting. The lounge area is great to meet people. Robin is so friendly and fun. We really love her vibe, she’s good at getting the event going on time and moving forward. We also love seeing Piper there who is helping our team improve. I got to take a lesson with James and he was really enjoyable to work with. I have found a great community and a new passion, and I’m so grateful for it all.
